Well it finally got done and now GameShark's 2007 Game of the Year Awards are complete. Woo hoo! I think that a lot of our choices are in stark contrast to everyone else and that's fine with me.It seems like people expect games to win based on silly things like brand. Just because the package says "Madden" doesn't mean it should automaticly be selected for game of the year, as an example. No offnse intended to Madden or any other game that people believe is an heir apparent to the GOTY thrown.
My only regret is that I didn't have more time to honor indie games. There were a lot of great ones this year that deserved a moment in the sun, but that moment passed me by. Sorry indie games. Next year we'll treat you right, I promise.
