Want to know a secret?

I had just given my son Jeremiah a shower and we were getting ready to get him off to school.

"Want to know a secret?" I said.


"What?" he said.

"You're the best thing that has ever happened to me in my entire life, I said with more than a little pride.


"Want to know my secret?"


"Sure," I said


"On Friday we're going to take down the Christmas Tree and then we're going to have a paintball fight!"

I didn't see that one coming.
