Role-Playing Game Rut

Over the weekend I installed multiple classic role-playing games along with some new ones to my brand rig. The results were mixed to say the least. Nevewinter Nights did this odd frame-skip thing, along with Depths of Peril and Summoner. Then I got crazy and installed Dungon Lords and Fable. I was not satisified with either game. I have The Witcher sitting here but I wanted to wait on it, but it looks like i'm going to have to jump into that one soon or go insane. Sadly I lost a disc somewhere to Deus Ex and Thief is missing a codec so I am kind of screwed, glued and tattoed.
